Truck aggregator 4tigo to expand in northern, western India

Nandan Nilekani and Accel Partners-backed truck aggregator 4tigo today said it is looking at expanding in smaller cities in northern and western regions of the country.
"We are looking at expanding presence in Nagpur, Aurangabad and Nashik in Maharashtra and Jaipur, Chandigarh Lucknow and Haridwar in the north," its co-founder Vivek Malhotra told reporters here.
He said the company, that has raised USD 12 million in two rounds of capital infusion in which both the investors participated, is not looking at any new capital raising.
It has 10,000 trucks on its application which have joined by paying an enrolment fee of Rs 1,000 each, he said. ............................................................. Axis Bank JV launches digital invoice discounting platform
Private lender Axis Bank today said Atreds, its joint venture with Mjunction Services, has launched a digital invoice discounting platform for small businesses.
Invoices raised on West Coast Paper, Intex Technologies, Future Retail and other corporates by their MSME suppliers were discounted by Axis Bank to mark commencement of operations, it said in a statement.
Sale of invoices will happen through a bidding process involving multiple financiers, which will facilitate efficient price discovery, thus lowering cost of funds for MSMEs.
The platform, christened Invoicemart, will bring cost effective and convenient mode of financing to its MSME customers, a senior executive said.

Software company TCS today said it has helped launch brokerage Axis Securities a voice-based trading service over its mobile app, claiming it will help increase volumes by up to 15 per cent.
Bharat Shah, the head of TCS Bancs for securities trading, said voice-based trading is a key technological development in digital trading.
Axis Securities' managing director Arun Thukral said the feature will help the brokerage deliver simpler user interface to retail investors.
