Excise inspector Sanjay Yadav said that two persons were arrested for trying to smuggle the liquor allegedly meant for distribution in the area ahead of Lok Sabha polls.
The seizure of the illegal consignment, which was on its way from Ambala in Haryana to Firozabad, was made by a special team of excise officials, Yadav said, adding that the liquor is estimated to be worth Rs 40 lakh.
