Truck stuck on NH,traffic halted in Jalpaiguri
The loaded truck was left hanging as a portion of the Torsha bridge caved in at Hashimara on the Dooars-Alipurduar section of the highway according to police.
As efforts of the district administration was on to retrieve the truck, traffic came to a complete halt on the busy section, about 70 kms from here.
There was no casualty as the driver and handimen managed to get out of the vehicle before the incident.
The locals protested against the disruption of traffic and demanded immediate clearance of the highway.
