US President Donald Trump today said it would be clear "next week" whether his scheduled June 12 summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in Singapore would take place.
"We will know next week about Singapore. And if we go, I think it will be a great thing for North Korea," he told reporters at the White House.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo had told lawmakers that the June 12 Summit was going to happen. Trump also hinted that the talks could still happen despite the browbeating between the two leaders
