Tuki, during a meeting convened with state chief secretary, Rural Development (RD) commissioner and director of the department approved the release of Rs 718.86 lakh against salaries for the month of January to March last, an official release said.
The Chief Minister said undue delay of the payment of salaries to the DRDA employees was due to late and non-submission of full utilisation certificates by a few DRDAs to the Centre and carrying forward of previous year's backlog.
"It will take some more time to streamline the issue with line departments," he said.
Tuki also informed that the state government has extended the sixth central pay commission benefits to the employees of DRDAs and shouldering more financial burden in comparison to other organisations and institutions, the release added.
