There was demand from various quarters for an organisation for Tulu film industry which had been showing steady growth of late, she said in a release here.
The Academy and industry representatives would urge the government to constitute a Tulu film chamber.
The Academy also planned to produce documentaries on 15 eminent Tulu personalities. Each documentary would be of 25-minute duration.
She said the Mangalore University had assured that they would introduce certificate, diploma and post-graduate certificate courses in Tulu from this academic year under its distance education programme.
She said the Academy would shift its office from the Mangaluru City Corporation building to the Tulu Bhavan which was being constructed at Urwa in August. The building was constructed with a state government grant of Rs 4.8 crore.
