Turmeric and jeera prices fell by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today owing to muted demand from retailers and stockists amid sufficient stock position.
Besides, increased arrivals from producing regions and weakening trend in futures market also put pressure on the turmeric and jeera prices.
Turmeric prices declined by Rs 100 to conclude at Rs 7,900-11,700 per quintal.
Jeera common and jeera best quality also drifted lower by Rs 100 each to settle at Rs 17,400-17,600 and Rs 20,100-20,600 per quintal.
Marketmen said low demand from retailers and stockists against sufficient stocks, mainly pulled down turmeric and jeera prices.
