Forest officials who raided the factory late last night on a tip off that medicines were being manufactured using the organs of the wild animals, said turtle shells and coral reef in powder form had been seized.
District Forest Officer Nihar Niranjan said the value of seizure made so far was Rs 1.5 lakh.
The DFO said that the website of the pharmaceutical unit also revealed that animal organs were being used to manufacture some medicines.
The seized goods were sent to a lab for analysing and action would be initiated against the company after the report was received from the lab.
