Retired high court judge Aruna Jagadeesan, who has been appointed by the state government to probe the violence and consequent police firing during the anti-sterlite protests in Tuticorin, today said she would visit the injured in hospital.

She also appealed to the public to submit relevant information before the panel by June 22.

The one-person inquiry commission said it would ensure anonymity and protection to those sharing information.

Speaking to reporters here, Jagadeesan said, "I appeal to those who are aware of details of the incident, those related to it to submit their statements through affidavits anonymously."
