The company had posted net profit of Rs 24.36 crore in the July-September quarter a year ago, TV Today Network informed BSE.
Its total income from operations during the quarter under review was up 5.13 per cent to Rs 132.27 crore, as against Rs 125.81 crore in year ago period.
Total expenses were up 7.28 per cent to Rs 102.65 crore as against Rs 95.68 crore of 2015-16 period.
TV Today's revenue from Television Broadcasting was at Rs 130.93 crore in the July-September quarter of 2016-17, while revenue from radio broadcasting was at Rs 1.33 crore.
Total income in the first half of the current fiscal was up 7 per cent at Rs 267.15 crore as against Rs 249.67 crore in the same period last year.
In a separate filing, TV Today Network said its board has approved amendments arising pursuant to change in name of English news TV Channel of the company from Headlines Today to India Today, in the Digital Rights Agreement and License Agreement dated February 24, 2014 entered with Living Media India Ltd with respect to digital business of company.
