With an aim of promoting motorsports in the country, TVS Motor Company, a leading two-wheeler maker in India, has announced its association with the 19-year-old motorsports sensation Arjun Maini.
"I am happy and delighted to partner with TVS Motor Company. This association reflects the growing attention that motorsports is receiving in India. I have had a good start to the GP3 season and the support from TVS will encourage me to do better," Maini, who recently created history by securing a podium finish in his second GP3 appearance in Budapest, Hungary, said.
"TVS Racing, with its rich racing heritage, has been working towards cultivating interest and enthusiasm for motorsports in the country. It has been a pioneer and the first factory racing team in India. I look forward to exciting times ahead," he added.
Maini, who made his debut in GP3 at Silverstone earlier this month, started his career in motorsports in 2006 with karting. He began car racing in the 2013 and the following year finished runner up at the BRDC Formula 4 Championship.
"We are supporting Arjun, who we believe will be a star in international motorsports. GP3 is the beginning and we are happy to be associated with him for the long haul. We expect to leverage this association across the TVS Motors footprint in over 50 countries," said Aniruddha Haldar, VP(Marketing), TVS Motor Company.
