The company had posted net profit of Rs 90.52 crore in the same quarter last fiscal, TVS Motor Co said in a BSE filing.
Net sales during the period under review stood at Rs 2,776.39 crore as compared with Rs 2,395.47 crore in the year-ago period -- up 15.9 per cent.
During the quarter motorcycles sales were at 2.47 lakh units as against 2.21 lakh units in the year ago period, up 11.76 per cent.
Three-wheeler sales were at 26,901 units as compared with 21,445 units in the year-ago quarter, it said.
For the entire 2015-16 fiscal, the company said its net profit was at Rs 369.33 crore as against Rs 328.26 crore in the previous year, up 12.51 per cent.
Net sales for the fiscal were at Rs 11,377.08 crore as compared with Rs 10,074.61 crore in the previous year, a growth of 12.92 per cent, the company said.
Motorcycle sales during the year were at 10.17 lakh units as compared with 9.51 lakh units in the previous year, while those of scooters were at 8.13 lakh as against 7 lakh units in the previous year.
Three-wheeler sales increased to 1.11 lakh units in 2015-16 from 1.08 lakh units in the previous fiscal, it added.
TVS Motor Co stock closed at Rs 287.90, down 9.66 per cent from the previous close on BSE.
