TVS Motor sales rise 8% in June

TVS Motor Company today reported 8 per cent increase in total sales at 2,22,099 units in June.
The Chennai-based company had sold 2,05,403 units in the same month last year.
Total two-wheeler sales for the month grew 7 per cent to 2,11,002 units as against 1,96,486 units in June 2014, TVS Motor Company said in a statement.
Motorcycle sales increased by 16 per cent to 88,675 units last month compared with 76,734 units in the corresponding month a year ago.
Scooter sales grew by 5 per cent to 61,241 units in June 2015 as against 58,328 units in the corresponding month last year.

Exports last month jumped 26 per cent to 43,025 units, compared to 34,103 units in the corresponding month a year ago.
