Two arrested, 117 kg of cannabis seized

Two persons were arrested after 117 kg of cannabis was seized from their possession at Moynaguri in Jalpaiguri district, police said today.
Acting on a tip-off, police and excise personnel intercepted a truck coming from Guwahati and arrested the duo last night, a police officer said.
A huge contraband of cannabis, valued at around Rs 60 lakh in market, was seized from them, the officer said, adding duo later revealed that the truck was headed to Firozabad in Uttar Pradesh.
