Two arrested for hunting endangered wild donkey in Tibet

Two persons were arrested in Tibet for allegedly hunting an endangered wild donkey after a picture was posted on Internet showing a man with his arms covered with blood and the prostrate animal.
The two accused, Chen Haisheng and Li Ming, were arrested on Monday night when police started an investigation after seeing the picture online.
The duo chased and hit the wild donkey with their vehicle and when it collapsed, they killed the animal with a knife, disembowelled it and later cooked it, said Dandar, head of the Ali Forestry Public Security Bureau.
Chen and Li work for an electricity company in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, state-run Xinhua agency reported.

Tibet is home to scores of rare and endangered species, including black-necked cranes, Tibetan antelope, Tibetan wild donkey, yaks and snow cock.
