The arrested duo were identified as Roshan alias Orru (28) and Alwin Paul (20), Hiranagar police station in-charge Basant Mishra told reporters here today.
They were arrested last night along with controversial literature, he said.
They were caught by local residents Prithviraj Salunkhe as well as his associates and handed over to the police.
Allegedly, they promised people jobs, interest free loans, free treatment in hospitals and also other facilities if they embraced Christianity, he said.
Mishra said that a case has been registered against them under relevant sections of Madhya Pradesh Religious Freedom Act 1968, Mishra said.
