The Metro Unit of Delhi Police has arrested two persons for allegedly stealing ruscards from a mobile tower, police said Monday.
The accused have been identified as Bijender (42) and Harender (32), they said.
On December 2, a complainant who works with a private telecom company alleged that five ruscards were stolen from one of their mobile towers at Kanhaiya Nagar Metro Station.
Based on a tip off, a trap was laid near DTC bus stop at Badarpur where the accused had come to sell the stolen ruscards, Dinesh Kumar Gupta, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Railways and Metro) said.
Subsequently, a raid was conducted and the accused were apprehended and three stolen ruscards were recovered from them, he said.
The accused were working as labourers in a private company, the officer said.
