Acting on a tip-off by Sulabh toilet assistant, Abhimanyu Vishwakarma that two suspicious persons carrying a bag and a suitcase were taking bath inside the bathroom in Depot Square, Havaldar Pyarelal reached the spot.
When he also got suspicious of their activities, Pyarelal bolted the bathroom door from outside and immediately informed senior officials following which a police team raided the public toilet and arrested Ajay Jat (25) and Ashish (22) yesterday, DIG Bhopal, Raman Singh Sikarwar said today.
The duo carrying a fake gun looted the bank on March 30 in Bagsevania area and decamped with over Rs 5.72 lakh cash by terrorising the staff.
Jat was also involved in a Andhra Bank dacoity case that took place about four years back.
He was arrested in that case also but jumped the bail and was absconding since then, the DIG said.
They would be produced in a court today for remand.
