Ilavarasan and Satya were arrested recently in different incidents by the Anti-Vice Squad of the police and have been detained under the Goondas Act for repeatedly carrying out flesh trader by forcing women into it, an official relase here said.
Five others were also arrested and a total of 11 women, including those from other states, were rescued from them and sent to a government home, it said.
The accused had had forced the employment-seeking women into prostitution by promising opportunities in Tamil cinema and TV serials, and had operated in posh locallities like Vadapalani, it said.
