road accident in Bihar's Siwan's district, a police officer said.
The incident took place near Fazilpur village, within limits of Hussainganj police station, when a speeding truck rammed into a bike killing both riders of the bike.
Both of them died on the spot, Hussainganj police station in-charge Ram Ekbal Singh said.
The victims were identified as Shivji Chaudhary (40) and Aftab Alam (60), he said.
The incident sparked off a protest by the local people who blocked the road demanding compensation for the families of the victims.
Senior officials rushed to the spot and pacified the agitators by providing assistance of Rs 20,000 each to perform their last rites and promised compensation of Rs four lakh each to the families of the two deceased bikers.
