Two college girls consume poison; 1 dead

A student of a government girls college in Kotputali area of the district allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison, while her friend who also attempted to kill herself is admitted in hospital.
Samta Meena, who is the president of the students union of the college, and her friend Shanu consumed poison inside the campus, police said.
Both the girls were aged around 21 years and were students of BA final year, they said.
They were admitted to a hospital where Samta died, while Shanu is unconscious and undergoing treatment, a police official said.
"The reasons behind the incident is not clear yet as both the college administration and their parents are not divulging any details," he said.
