In the first incident, Ghulam Ahmad Mir, a resident of Batakote area of Pahalgam in south Kashmir's Anantnag district, consumed some poisonous substance at his home, a police spokesman said.
He said Mir was shifted to the district hospital, where from he was referred to SKIMS, here, but he died on way at Pampore.
In another incident, a 37-year-old lady also consumed some poisonous substance at her home in Saidwari village of Kulgam district, the spokesman said.
The lady was shifted to Qazigund hospital for treatment, where she breathed her last, he said.
