Two district officials killed in road accident in UP

Two district officials were today killed and three others injured in a collision between car and tractor-trolley at Masauli area of the district,police said.
The incident took place this morning when Uday Raj Singh, an auditor in district panchayat and another official Rampujan Verma along with others were heading to Ramnagar block for election duties. Their car was hit by a tractor-trolley near Sahavpur village, they said.
Both Singh and Verma died on the spot whereas a junior engineer in Jal Nigam, Lalit Aditya and two others received injuries, they added.
The officers were alloted election duties for the village panchayat elections, for which the process of filing nominations is underway.
