Two employees of TMC arrested in graft case

Two employees of the Thane Municipal Corporation were today arrested by the anti-corruption bureau.
Additional superintendent of police Srinivas Ghadge said the accused had demanded a bribe for issuing individual property tax receipts from the complainants for a house in Kausa Mumbra.
Senior clerk Santosh J Admane and peon Amol B Waghmare of the Civic Ward office at Kausa, Mumbra had already accepted Rs 50,000.
Today the duo were trapped while accepting the balance Rs 20,000. They were arrested and charged under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
