Two eunuchs kill labourer on a running train

Two eunuchs allegedly killed a labourer by stabbing him after he denied them money on the Jabalpur-Somnath Express between Anand and Nadiad railway stations today, police said.
Police arrested one of them and registered a case of murder, the FIR said.
"Two eunuchs identified as Mahi Kunwar and Shalini De killed a labourer Devsinh Merwan (30) by stabbing him, after he refused to give them Rs 100 on the 'Jabalpur-Somnath Express' between Anand and Nadiad railway stations," Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) in Vadodara Railway division S S Baranda said.
"The police arrested Mahi Kunwar from Gamdi village in Anand district and filed an FIR for killing him," Baranda said.

Merwan hailed from the Viklamedi village in Tajapur tehsil of Ujjain District in Madhya Pradesh and was heading towards Morbi ditrict in Gujarat to earn his livelihood, Baranda said.
The incident occured today morning when eunuchs Mahi Kunwar and Shalini boarded the train at Anand railway station and began demanding money from passengers.

After Merwan refused to give them any money, the duo indulged in heated arguments with him and assaulted him later. One of the eunuchs Mahi Kunwar pulled out a sharp-edged weapon and stabbed Merwan on his chest, he said.
Later, they left Merwan in a pool of blood and left the train at Nadiad railway station, Baranda said.

Family members had also alighted train at the same station and called for emergency service, but by the time the '108' service ambulance could reach, Merwan succumbed to his injuries, he said.
The police have sent the body for post mortem and initiated a probe in this case, Baranda said.
