Two go missing after boat capsize

A woman and her two-year old child went missing today after a country boat capsized in the Ranganodi river in Lakhimpur district.
Lakhimpur Superintendent of Police Sudhakar Singh said that five others were rescued in the mishap.
The seven persons were traveling from Chapori area to Bogalijan when suddenly their boat capsized in the river due to heavy current.
The woman has been identified as Pallabi Saikia (32) and her child as Munmun Saika, Singh said.
The official said SDRF team rushed to the spot and continued search for the duo whole day.
