Two persons including a minor were held by the police Friday for allegedly killing a 23-year-old man while trying to rob him.
Ramaankar Yadav, native of Uttar Pradesh, had come to Mumbai to visit his mother and brother who lived in suburban Kurla, a crime branch official said.
Yadav was going to Kurla terminus to book train tickets when two persons on motorbike tried to snatch away his bag on SCLR road in the wee hours of March 18.
When Yadav resisted, one of them stabbed him in the stomach before fleeing, the official said.
Yadav was found lying in a pool of blood on the footpath. He was declared dead before admission at hospital.
A case was registered at V B Nagar Police Station.
The two suspects, one of them a minor, were held Friday, the official said, adding that further probe was on.
