Two held in connection with attack on block pramukh in Amethi

Two persons have been arrested today in connection with the last week's attack on a former block head of Jagdishpur area in the district, police said.
Those arrested were identified as Ashfak of Kot Majre Hussainganj and Sanjay Yadav of Prithvi Singh ka Purwa area here, Superintendent of Police Hira Lal told PTI.
An automatic and a country made pistol along with some live cartridges were recovered from their possession, he said.
Rajesh Vikram Singh (39) was allegedly shot at by unidentified miscreants on Lucknow-Varanasi national highway on March 27.
Singh and his body guards were seriously injured in the attack and was taken to a trauma centre in Lucknow.
