Two held in separate incidents of rape

Two persons were arrested in two separate cases of raping women under the pretext of marriage, police said today.
The accused, identified as Ramesh Rajpurohit and N Srinivas, were nabbed yesterday by the KPHB police and SHE teams of Madhapur Zone.
While Rajpurohit works in a clothes shop, Srinivas with a tech firm here.
According to police, Rajpurohit, while working in the shop at Tanuku town of West Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh, had induced a 24-year-old woman software employee on the false promise of marriage and sexually abused her.
He allegedly blackmailed the woman and threatened her of dire consequences if she discontinues physical relationship.

Cyberabad Police said that Srinivas developed acquaintance with a 38-year-old woman under the pretext of marrying her while working with a tech firm, which led to physical relationship between them.
The police said Srinivas later started harassing and manhandling the woman.
Police registered separate cases against the duo and arrested them.
