Two held with 125 pouches of illicit liquor in Reasi

Two persons were arrested today and 125 pouches of illicit liquor were recovered from their possession in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
Acting on a tip-off, Sanay Singh (20) and Narinder Singh (23) were apprehended with the illicit liquor from Kakryal area of the Katra Tehsil of the district, an officer said.
He said the duo were taking the pouches of illicit liquor to Katra for sale.
One of the accused, Narinder Singh was arrested three months ago in a similar case and 42 pouches of illicit liquor were recovered from his possession, the officer said.
The accused have been booked under various sections of the Excise Act, he said, adding investigation into the case is underway.
