"Accused Sujeet Singh, 22 and Gousal Azim, 45 from Malda and Birbhum districts of West Bengal respectively were couriers who were supposed to deliver the fake currency to one Zahur Khan, a resident of Ashta area in MP's Sehore district, whom we had already arrested," Police Crime Branch Inspector Rajesh Kumar Sinha said.
He said that both of them were caught at the railway station after inputs from Zahir who was held with fake currency two weeks ago.
His gang is suspected to be involved in pumping fake currency into Madhya Pradesh and elsewhere, Sinha said.
He said that both the accused have been booked under Section 489 (b) and Section 489 (c) of the Indian Penal Code.
