Two injured in firing between two groups

Two persons were injured in firing during a clash between two groups over cane committee election in Sandana area here, police said here today.
During the process of nomination for Ramgarh cane committee, groups of Manoj Rajvanshi and former chairman of the committee Yatindra Awasthi clashed last evening, they said.
Manoj Rajvanshi is the son of Minister of State for Prison Ram Pal Rajvanshi.
The clash led to firing from both sides in which Yatindra and one Ashok Singh were injured, police said, adding, while Yatindra has been admitted to a district hospital, Singh has been referred to trauma center at Lucknow.

An FIR has been lodged against five persons, including Yatindra and his brother Munendra on the basis of a complaint from Manoj's side, whereas on Munendra's complaint, a case had been lodged against nine persons, including Manoj, police said.
No arrests have been made so far, they said.
