Two killed after being run over by truck in Kapurthala

Two members of a family were killed on the spot and as many injured when a truck ran over them while they were sleeping outside their roadside huts here today.
The deceased have been identified as Pintu Bind (30) and his sister-in-law Seesam Kumari (20).
The injured, Charsi Devi and Ajay, were admitted to a local civil hospital and are stated to be out of danger.
The victims belonged to Munger district in Bihar and were living in hutments near Hussainpur village on the Kapurthala-Sultanpurlodhi road
According to police, the truck coming from Kapurthala suddenly ran over the family as they lay asleep on their cots.

Police have arrested the truck driver Harbans Singh and registered a case.
