Two killed, another injured in road accident

Two persons were killed and another injured after a truck rammed into a bullock cart on Araria-Bahadurganj road under Jokihat police station area in Bihar's Araria district, a police officer said today.
The Superintendent of Police (SP) Vijay Kumar Verma said that a speeding truck lost control and hit a bullock cart with three occupants two of whom died on the spot last night, while another sustained injuries.
The victims were identified as Md. Qudus (55) and Md. Jawwad (54), he said, adding the bodies have been sent for post-mortem and the injured man admitted to a hospital for treatment.

The truck has been impounded even as its driver managed to escape, Verma said.
