Two killed as truck overturns on makeshift house in Rajasthan

A 40-year-old man and his son were killed early today after a truck overturned on their makeshift house alongside a highway in neighbouring Jhalawar district.
The incident took place when Raj Kumar and his 12-year-old son were sleeping in their house. The truck was driving up an elevated part of the Jhalawar-Baran highway when its driver lost control of the vehicle. The truck came down backwards and overturned on the house, Khanpur SHO Surjeet Singh said.
Both of them were killed on the spot while other members of the family were out for some at the time of the accident, he said.

The truck was seized while a hunt is on for its driver who fled from the spot, a case of negligent driving has also been lodged against him, Singh said.
The bodies were handed over to the family members after postmortem.
