At least two people were killed today when a Chinese military aircraft crashed in the country's northwest Shaanxi province.
The plane crashed at about 3 pm local time (12.30 IST) on the outskirts of Weinan city, according to rescuers, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
It is suspected to be a military aircraft, it said.
A Chinese website showed photos of smouldering wreckage of the aircraft, including a tail bearing the markings of the People's Liberation Army.
The debris were strewn across a farm land.
Further details are awaited.
