The prosecution case was that Ramesh had abducted the 15-year-old girl on February 25 this year. Police arrested Ramesh and also his friend Manikandan who had helped him kidnap the girl.
Erode District Mahila Court Judge N Thirunavukkarasu sentenced the two to ten years RI each for kidnapping the girl.
In another case, the judge sentenced a 31-year-old man to 10 years RI for instigating his wife to commit wife.
The prosecution case was that the man was a habitual drunkard and unable to bear this, the womany committed suicide by hanging on June 24, 2013 at home.
