Two minor labourers electrocuted

Two minor labourers were today electrocuted after they accidentally came in contact with the overhead electricity wires at Piplani here, police said.

The victims were identified as Durgesh Prajapati and Ajay Shakya, both aged 17, police said.

"They were removing a billboard atop of a two-storey building when they accidentally came in contact with an overhead high tension electricity cable in Kalpana Nagar," Piplani police station inspector Rakesh Shrivastava said.

After getting the information, police rushed the duo to the government-run Hamadia hospital, where doctors declared them brought dead, he added.

A case has been registered in this connection, the police officer said.
