Two motorbike-borne minors were killed in a road accident in West Bengal's Howrah district on Sunday, police said.
The incident occurred at Amtala when the motorbike carrying Sheikh Tajuddin (15) and Shayan Saha (17) was run over by a Kolkata-bound tanker on NH-6 around 12 pm, an officer of Panchla police station said.
Both the minors, who worked in a vehicle-repairing workshop, died on the spot, he said.
The driver fled with the vehicle and hunt is on to nab him, the officer said.
The bodies have been sent to Uluberia sub-divisional hospital for postmortem.
