Two naxals, including woman, surrender in Gadchiroli

Two naxals, including a woman, have surrendered, Gadchiroli police said today.
The surrender of the two naxals, each carrying a cash reward of Rs 2 lakh on their heads, comes a day after seven naxals were killed in an encounter there.
Police identified the woman naxal as Kamla Ramsu Gawde of the Korchi dalam. She was esrlier with the Kekdi dalam, police said.
The other naxal has been identified as Nagesh alias Matursaay Madavi. He joined the Pallemadi dalam in Chhattisgarh in 2011, police said.
The two have been involved in serious offences like killings, encounters and blasts using Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), police said.
Police said that in 2017, a total of 19 naxal cadre have surrendered as part of the surrender and rehabilitation scheme started by the state government and the Gadchiroli police.
