A 14-year-old girl along with her 9-year-old brother was killed and another 12-year-old brother was critically injured by the landslide last night, state capital SP Seiju P Kuruvilla said.
More people were feared trapped under the debris, the SP said, adding rescue operation was on.
Chief Minister Nabam Tuki expressed shock and announced ex-gratia payment of Rs 1,50,000 each to the next of kin of those deceased.
He appealed to the people residing in the slopes of the hills which were prone to landslides to shift to safer places.
