Some of the people who have paid money to the two persons identified as Ujjal Mitra of Nabala and Soma Dey, a resident of Hanskhali caught hold of the two and handed them over to the police yesterday at Ranaghat.
Police said a complaint has been lodged against the two alleging that they took money from people on the pretext of providing jobs in government primary schools.
Krishna Chandra Ghosh of Dhantala in Nadia on whose complaint the police arrested Mitra and Dey said "I had given them Rs 4.40 lakh for job in Primary School.
