Two persons killed in two separate incidents in Ganjam

Two persons were killed in two separate incidents the Ganjam district, police said today.
A Santosh Reddy (30), belonging to Kamasheragada village under Dharakoate police station limit, was killed by a group of persons at Ramakrushnapur under Sheragada police station limit last night, police said.
In the second incident, Sadhu Nahak (28), a farmer was killed by his younger brother at Kaithabandha Street under Polasara police station limit also last night, the police said.
Preliminary investigation revealed that previous enmity might be the cause behind the killing of Reddy, said inspector in charge, Sheragada police station Biswa Ranjan Nayak.
He said Reddy was involved in different criminal cases, including murder in different police stations in the district.
Similarly police said land dispute might be the cause of the murder of Sadhu. He was allegedly killed by his younger brother while Sadhu was sleeping in the house. He was taken to the community health centre (CHC) Polasara, where he succumbed his injuries, police said.
Accused Siba, younger brother of the deceased managed to flee from the village after killing his elder brother, said inspector in charge, Polasara police station Tapaswini Kanhar.
The blood-stained weapon used in killing Sadhu was seized from his house, she said.
