Two poachers held, guns seized from them in TN forest area

Two alleged poachers were arrested and as many unlicensed guns were seized from them in a reserved forest area in the district, a senior Forest official said today.
A forest team led by Ranger Sadasivam, on a routine patrol, arrested the two, who were moving about with torchlights in the Pommedi Erimalai forest last night, District Forest Officer Dhanabalan told PTI.
He said two unlicensed guns and gun powder were seized from the duo, who had entered the forest to hunt deers.
They were produced before a magistrate court here today which remanded them to 15 days judicial remand, he added.
