General Manager, East Coast Railway Umesh Singh awarded Gagan Behera and I Bhaskara Rao, Track Maintenance staff of Bacheli and Kirandul of East Coast Railway.
While performing their duty, Behera and Rao found the crucial check rail of railway line misplaced on the track between Kamlur and Bhansi Stations of Dantewada District in Chhattisgarh under Waltair Division before arrival of Visakhapatnam-Kirandul Passenger train on February 16, 2017.
Their timely action helped avoid a possible mishap, an official statement said.
Both of them were felicitated with cash award.
