Those convicted and sentenced were the then Assistant Goods Supervisor D S Rajawat and Head Booking Clerk S S Parmar of Morena railway station, a CBI spokesperson said. Both have also been fined Rs 25,000 each by the court.
The spokesperson said the agency had registered a corruption case against the duo in 2009 on the complaint of a person that Rajawat "had demanded a bribe of Rs one lakh for issuing railway receipt of one rake load of wheat dispatched in November 2009 by the complainant's firm based in Itarsi in Madhya Pradesh".
It had filed a charge sheet in the case in 2010 against the officials on various charges of corruption under IPC.
