Two SAP jawans killed in Maoists attack

Two jawans of Special Auxiliary Police (SAP) force were killed and as many injured when armed Maoists attacked a patrol party late this evening in Amarut village of this Naxal-hit Bihar district.
Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) S K Bhardwaj said the two SAP jawans were in the ambush.
The deceased hailed from Sitamarhi in Bihar and Uttarakhand.
Police sources said eight jawans formed the patrol party when the Maoists opened fire on them in the village under Dobhi police station area.
They said that arms of the attacked security force was safe.
SAP engaged in anti-naxal operation comprises ex-servicemen.
