"Two villagers died and another injured when Maoists triggered landmine blast at Katila locality of Amuatikar village where the encounter took place yesterday," Superintendent of Police Kranti Kumar told reporters here.
Stating that the encounter was continuing near Katila locality of Amuatikar village of the district, he said the villagers were there when the landmine was exploded.
Yesterday, six CRPF personnel and one personnel from Jharkhand Jaguar had been killed while 12 CRPF personnel and two Jaguar personnel were injured in the fierce encounter, the SP said and added anti-naxal operation was continuing.
Jharkhand DGP G S Rath had said yesterday that seven CRPF personnel had been killed and ten other personnel were injured in the gun battle.
