Two West Bengal girls rescued from traffickers in Delhi

Two minor girls from West Bengal who were trafficked to Delhi on pretext of a job have been rescued by Delhi police from Vijay Nagar and Shalimar Bagh.
The girls aged 14 and 17 years belonged to Fakatta in West Bengal and an FIR was registered there against unidentified persons in connection with their disappearance, said Ravindra Yadav, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime).
They were rescued from Vijay Nagar and Shalimar Bagh areas where they were working as domestic helps by a team of Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) led by DCP Dinesh Kumar Gupta.
Delhi Police have informed their counterparts at Falkatta police station and the family members of girls, about their rescue.
The girls told the police that they were brought to Delhi by Bhagada Kshetri. They have been sent to Nirmal Chhaya and will be produced before child welfare committee, added the officer.
