Four other women in the boat swam ashore.
"Two women, Prem Bai (30) and Sanibai (60), died as the boat capsized due to strong winds in the submergence area of Gandhi Sagar dam on Chambal river," Additional District Collector Arpit Verma said.
"Four other women in the boat were able to save themselves as they could swim," he said.
Bodies of deceased women were fished out today morning and handed over to the family members.
The women were returning to their village from the fields located on the other side of submergence area of dam.
